Tarryall is wild and wonderfully basic — no cabins, no cell bars, just stars and our best pals!
Tent / camper, layers, headlamp, camp chair, water jugs, reusable plate-ware. We’ll have extra firewood and a stash of local brews.
Yep. Let ’em run wild! Just wrangle pups (and kids) at night so we don't get any wild visitors.
Altitude 9,000-ish ft. Hydrate like you mean it!
No hotels nearby. It’s tents or overlanders only.

Please RSVP by October 1, 2025 so we can plan food, firewood, and size of the camping space. If you’re camping, the earlier the better. Tarryall is open camping so there should be open spaces around the area if you do not RSVP early.
This is a campout. Bring a tent, car-camp, or roll up in your camper. There aren’t real lodging options in Tarryall. We’ll post the exact pin once it’s locked.
Mountain nice. Think flannel, boots, cozy layers. It can swing from sun to sideways snow in an hour, so bring a warm jacket and beanie. Keep in mind, this is going to be in October, nights can get CHILLY!
High-elevation fall. Days can feel mild. Nights get cold. Wind and a dusting of snow are possible. Pack layers, gloves, and a solid sleeping bag (20°F or lower is smart). Hydrate — altitude sneaks up on you.
Hell yeah to both! Keep pups leashed at night and near wildlife. Tiny humans welcome — just bundle them up after sunset.
Expect backcountry setups depending on the site aka dig your own hole. BYO hand sanitizer. Bring your own water jugs; we’ll have some extra on hand.
If you want! Add your dish in the RSVP so we don’t end up with 47 bags of chips. We’ll handle plates, utensils, and anything else needed.
Plan on a fire if conditions allow. If there’s a burn ban, we will prepare accordingly.
Spotty at best. Screenshot directions before you drive. If you get lost, head for nearest town and try again.
Altitude tips: Take it easy day one. Water, electrolytes, and sunscreen (we will have extra).
Leave No Trace: Pack it in, pack it out. We’ll have trash bags at camp.
Photos: Snap away gang! We have a form if you would like to share with us so we can print!
Gifting: Your presence is the greatest gift of all. If you insist we have a Honeyfund set up or Aaron's Venmo @aaron-caudill-10 for our honeymoon 🖤
Yep! Text Rachel at 719-644-3113 or Aaron at 719-313-2923. If we’re out of service, we’ll reply once we’re back in range.
